| Relation to curriculum | Course description: This course covers the fundamentals of pathology, including cellular and tissue reactions to injury, cell death, cell adaptation, cell growth disorders, inflammation, wound healing, blood circulation disorders, immune system disorders, nutritional balance disorders, and disorders caused by both infectious and non-infectious agents, associated with its clinical importance in various animal species. Relation to curriculum: This course provides a comprehensive foundation in pathological processes crucial for understanding disease mechanisms across diverse animal species, enhancing students’ diagnostic and clinical skills for subsequent semesters. |

| Module objectives or intended learning outcomes | After completing this course, students should be able to (1) explain definitions and terms in pathology, and the nomenclature of diseases caused by infectious and non-infectious agents, emphasizing their clinical importance; (2) explain the basics of cell and tissue reactions in the disease process in animals; (3) explain the stages of tissue changes both macroscopically and microscopically; and (4) explain the pathogenesis of diseases caused by infectious and non-infectious agents, and make decisions based on the results of these analysis. |
